Hello everybody I post this picture so that you can see the new development in ISCAG Phillippines. Soon this cresent will be on top so before that happen I see to it that I had a shot. Some of my friend are here in my post.
ISCAG Philippines is now my Islamic community. I enjoy the people here they are very smart and studious. Most of the people here in ISCAG are hardworking. All of the people living in ISCAG are very cooperative and kind. They often support all the activity of the community. What I like them most are, (1)they are very knowledgeable in Arabic, Quran and Hadith, (2) They are very friendly, and lastly they recognise the new comers because they know each others well.
Bro Ihdris is one of my classmate in Arabic class and Arabic pronunciation in ISCAG Philippines.

New Moon

Moon was very important to Islam because this is one of the important sign and creation from their God (Allah).

Islam follows a purely lunar calendar. From the calendar Islam take note the most important month which is the ninth month because it is the start of Ramadan. Ramadan starts from this month and observing the first new moon. New moon lies between Earth and the Sun.

Generally following the Islamic Calendar and the New Moon makes the different schedule of the Ramadan so none Muslims not very familiar with the schedule. Note during Ramadan there are people who are excuse they are the soldiers, sick people and children. Ramadan takes about 30 days. The end of Ramadan was also celebrated by the Muslims. This is the day of their feast. It was called Id Al-Fitr. The end of Ramadan can be identified if the new moon appears.

Another important thing that you have to note in Islam all of the Mosques have Moon. Moon is the symbol of Islamic religion. And during Ramadan the Quran was revealed to Mankind. Quran is a complete guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the guidance and the criterion between right and wrong.

Why do Muslim Fast?

First of all let me declared my testimony of faith.

Ash hadu an la ilaha

illal lhu wah dahu la shareeka lahu

wa ash hadu an-na

Muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluhulah

This was translated by Muslim and Tirmizi.

“ I testify that there is no deity except Allah alone. he is one and has no partner. And I testify that Muhammad (Subhana wa taaallah) is His slave and messenger.”

“ O Allah make me among those who are penitent and make me among those who are purified”.

( Tirmizi)

Muslim makes fast during Ramadan because they want to be purified and of course that is the duty of every Muslim. And usually every Muslim memorized the five pillars of Islam because it is their duty to Allah. These are the five pillars of Islam

The Five Pillar of Islam

1. Ash-Shahadah ( The Testimony of Faith)


2. As-Salat (Establishing of five obligatory Prayer)


3. Zakat (Charity)


4. As-Sawm (Fasting usually observed during month of Ramadan)


5. Hajj (A Pilgrimage to Mecca)
