Ramadan


Bismillah hir rahma nir-raheem


(In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful )



O you who believe! Observing fasting is prescribe for you as it was prescribe for those before you, that you may attain.


(Al-Baraqarah 2:183)



Every Muslim observes fasting for one month in Islamic calendar. As side from not eating before sunrise and after sunset, Muslim turns their bad deed to good deed. Every Muslim is racing for doing good deeds in this month, even very simple one like putting some stones on a right place especially if they saw it prone to accident.


Another noticeable to Islam during Ramadan was Charity. Muslims with a very inclined wealth distribute their excess wealth to their brothers after Ramadan. Muslims also do their obligatory prayer on time and read the Quran as often as possible.



I hope this humble ideas gives you some enlightenment " How Ramadan important to Islam?"

Why do Muslim Fast?


First of all let me declared my testimony of faith.




Ash hadu an la ilaha


illal lhu wah dahu la shareeka lahu



wa ash hadu an-na


Muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluhulah

“ I testify that there is no deity except Allah alone. he is one and has no partner. And I testify that Muhammad (Subhana wa taaallah) is His slave and messenger.”

“ O Allah make me among those who are penitent and make me among those who are purified”.

Muslim makes fast during Ramadan because they want to be purified and of course that is the duty of every Muslim. And usually every Muslim memorized the five pillars of Islam because it is their duty to Allah. These are the five pillars of Islam



The Five Pillar of Islam




  1. Ash-Shahadah ( The Testimony of Faith)

  2. As-Salat (Establishing of five obligatory Prayer)

  3. Zakat (Charity)

  4. As-Sawm (Fasting usually observed during month of Ramadan)

  5. Hajj (A Pilgrimage to Mecca)
