Calorimeter

My co-teacher demonstrates the calorimeter to her class

for the experiment on thermodyanmics.

Calorimeter is a device used to measure the amount of calorie in a substance.It is an aluminum container with small container inside and a rubber barrier on upper portion of the inner small container. It has rubber stopper with a hole, and metal rod. Rubber stopper can be found at the middle top the container. Thermometer can be place at the hole of the container. The mass of the object was first measured and the thermometer was placed to an ice to get an exact value of the heat exchange. The amount of heat were then computed by the students.
